چکیده
Abstract Background Fixation of receiver-stimulator (RS) in cochlear implantation is an important step surgery, while the technique used still debatable. Aim study The aim our to evaluate applicability modified recess/tunnel (R/T) fixation technique. Materials and methods De novo cases between august 2018 December 2020 were included. A bony recess was drilled deep full thickness RS. tunnel fashioned for fantail electrode lead with a groove slide it without trauma. No tie-down sutures used. length RS magnet tragus measured during follow-up visits. Results Seventy-eight patients received new R/T; 37 (47.4%) females. Children 50 (64.1%) average age 4.3 ± 2 years, adults 28 (35.9%) 36.4 10 years. Right implants 69 left ones only 9. total operative time 86 13 min, R/T preparation 11 4 min which represents 12.8% time. migration, hard. or soft failures detected. One case had postoperative haematoma originating from skin, other minor complications not related treated medically. Conclusion provides good RS, fantail, protection fixation. disadvantages wide exposure especially longer can be avoided this

Modified Internal Fixation Technique for Acromio-Clavicular (AC) joint dislocation: The “Hidden Knot Technique”
Acromioclavicular (AC) joint injuries are common and often seen in contact athletes, resulting from a fall on the shouldertip with adducted arm. This joint is stabilized by both static and dynamic structures including the coracoclavicular (CC)ligament. Most reconstruction techniques focus on CC ligament augmentation as the primary stabilizer of the AC joint. The best surgical technique for some ...

Clinical Results of Percutaneous Fixation of Pelvic and Acetabular Fractures: A Minimally Invasive Internal Fixation Technique
Background: The pelvic ring fractures (PRF) and acetabular fractures (AF) are among the major orthopedic injuriesassociated with high rates of morbidity and mortality. Open surgical stabilization is the standard treatment for themajority of these complications. Percutaneous minimally invasive surgical stabilization of the fractures has become anaccepted treatment method for th...
